Privacy notice
Privacy, in plain English.
The short version: your notes are yours. We do not sell them, we do not train on them, and we never read them without your consent.

Who we are
Maia is made by Dreamweald, which right now is one person, Aditya Dhar (hello! 👋🏼), in the United States. This notice covers this website, the waitlist, and the Maia app. Anything about your privacy, from a question to a removal request, goes to hey@maiahears.com, and it is me who answers.
Your email
We use your email to send your Maia invitation and occasional product updates. Every update has an unsubscribe link, and it works. We keep your address until we no longer need it for those messages, or until you ask us to remove it.
Your notes
Your notes and recordings are yours. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we never use them to train AI models. We will never read your notes or listen to your recordings without your consent. If you ask us to look at something, say a note that went missing, we look at that and nothing else.
When Maia transcribes a recording or polishes a note, the work is done by AI services we chose for exactly this. They see only what the feature needs, keep none of it, and do not train on it.
Your notes and recordings stay in your Pile until you delete them. Items moved to Trash are scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days. Like any company, we may have to disclose information when the law requires it.
This little site
This site uses Cloudflare Turnstile to stop automated signups. It checks browser and device signals, not what you type into the email field. Those signals go to Cloudflare, which runs the check under its own privacy policy. We do not add advertising trackers or site analytics.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hey@maiahears.com and we will sort it out, usually within a few days and never more than 30.
Children
Maia is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
When this changes
We will update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters to how we treat your notes or your email, everyone on the list hears about it by email first.
